About

Rusty Cline teaches monthly Argentine Tango workshops in Tucson, Arizona.

My philosophy is to make dancers not students. There are lots of perpetual students that are drawn to class because they see the flash and dash of tango, but are never exposed to the tender fleshy side of tango. The side of tango that keeps people dancing for years.

The flash and dash leaves folks wasted and dropping out after a year or so because they just can’t get it. After all they may not be as talented or as young or as fit or perhaps they just don’t have the time to in vest in lessons two or three times a week.

The tango I teach you can get in a few months and you can continue to improve for years.

I teach close embrace tango – the style has become to be known as “Milonguero”.

There are lots to argue about tango and its styles.  I have been around tango for close to a decade and I have seen a lot of folks come and go.  The ones that stay are either talented, stubborn or learn close embrace.

Personally I enjoy dancing with close embrace dancers.  Talent and stubborn only go so far :)
