As fate would have it we invited Yuliana Basmajyan and Brian Nguyen to come dance as VIPs at last year's festival and they joined us all for tandas of lovely social dancing.

In dancing with Yuliana I said: "Hmmm this lady is the real deal, what a lovely dancer she is." Jo said the same about Brian so we invited them to come teach this year. And just to prove what great taste they thought we had, they went down to Buenos Aires to Mundial and won 3rd place in the social salon competition! How lucky was that for us all since we get them here in March?

We are very pleased to have all of our talented friends coming to Tucson for the festival. We do hope you will join us.

As an incentive to get you to buy your tickets and commit early to coming to Tucson we are going to model an offer similar to our friend Daniel Bordman in Albuquerque by offering a

2 for one Full Festival Pass that will be available for three days only October 21-23, 2011

(PS the Albuquerque Tango Festival - is November 3-6, 2011)

Joanne and I have received many thoughtful messages and heartfelt responses to a year that has been challenging for us both. We are both well. We have a wonderful partnership that has and will continue to weather any storm that comes our way. Everything is possible when you put love first and we do that every day. Our partnership is undiminished and even stronger than ever. Tango has taught us to be malleable! Thank you all for your heartfelt and genuine concerns!!! All is well and tangoish for Jo, Rusty and the Tucson Tango Community! We look forward to having you here in March.

Love and Hugs,
Rusty & Jo
