Newsletter # 6-10/12/10

Tucson Meet Yourself was a great success for Tango! Friday was a fun group and around 30 people from the audience got up and joined in on the brief lesson. Saturday absolutely ROCKED! There were at least 80 brave souls who got up on the stage and took their first tango lesson. We hope the overall community sees an increase in the beginning classes over the next couple of weeks.

We would like to send a special thank you to those of you who came out and supported the public events. Your presence and participation was greatly appreciated!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT This Tuesday nights Advanced class is FULL and closed to drop-ins due to a Private Group Event. Only those already a part of the private Group may attend! Please contact us if you have questions.

FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS MEETING AND BBQ/POTLUCK! Less then 6 months until the Tucson Tango Festival gets under way and we are busy finalizing all the arrangements. We invite Volunteers - past, present and future - to join us this Friday, October 15 at 6:30pm for an Orientation Meeting. The weather is great so we will BBQ/Potluck and set up an outside dance floor for the Milonguita. We will provide some meat, bread and side dishes - feel free to bring your favorite dish to share. Please RSVP so we can ensure we have enough food! We will review the festival program and details and what volunteer opportunities and benefits are available. The Milonguita will follow the meeting at 8pm as usual. With enough encouragement I might even make a Pavlova! (Location: 3305 N. Pebble Rapids Place, Tucson, AZ)
