Newsletter # 1-8/19/10

Wow, it is already mid-August. We hope your summer was great. Our summer was fun with a mix of tango local and far, a little beach time, and a lot of time spent with many wonderful friends.

Please note that there is NO milonguita this Friday, 8/20, as we will be in Colorado teaching a workshop. We will be back Monday, 8/23 in time to teach Ron's Intro to Tango class at Arizona Hotel and supervise the practica. Practice is an integral part of the journey to dancing tango well and joyfully so come out and welcome the new people to tango and have some fun.

As Rusty celebrates his 6th year of teaching tango, we together celebrate our fourth year anniversary of teaching Argentine Tango group classes this September! It has been a pleasure to share in your growth in Tango. Thank you for sharing in our growth in Tango as well. Thanks to all the fabulous teaching and coaching we have received from many Master Instructors and the uncountable hours of practice and real world dancing locally and at festivals, we have been blessed by exponential growth, both in our dancing skills and our teaching skills.

We will continue studying not just tango but also the foundations for teaching and nurturing growth in the community as a whole. We are planning for a trip to Buenos Aires next summer. Would you like to join us? It may be easier than you think! Let's talk.

What is happening next? Fall is on the horizon and cool weather is on the way so Tango in Tucson is heating up. There are numerous activities coming up including a Guerilla/Exhibition, workshops with master instructors from Buenos Aires, Miami, and Berlin, specialized class series, and even a visiting tango orchestra from Albuquerque - rumor has it they are collaborating with TTS for a live Sunday afternoon milonga following their concert.

We have listed all of our upcoming events below in the order they occur. We look forward to your company as we continue to enjoy, nurture and grow Argentine Tango in Tucson.

Jo & Rusty
