Happy Thanksgiving friends! Yes, it is here already - did this year zip by or what. I think if we blinked we would have missed it. We wish you all a happy, safe and joyful holiday season. Even though we will be in Australia over the holidays our thoughts and best wishes will be with you.
Tohono Chul Milonga Our last community-wide event will be happening at Tohono Chul Park on Friday, November 26, 2010, starting at 5:30pm. The proceeds from this event go directly to Tohono Chul.
Holiday Nights at Tohono Chul is one of Tucson's most loved holiday traditions and this year Tango will be a big part of it. A dance floor will be setup, we will be providing a brief demo and possibly a short lesson. Then the community gets to dance the evening away surrounded by one million twinkling lights. Tickets are purchased at Tohono Chul -- $7 for Park members, $10 for non-members. Oh, and if you would like to go early and have a wonderful dinner, The Tea Room Restaurant at the entrance to the Park will be open. Tohono Chul will also be holding an ornament sale and auction at the Art Gallery during the event. Thanks to Christine Conte, Director of Tohono Chul Park and member of Tucson's Tango community, for making this happen!
Buenos Aires June 2011 We are excited to announce that this month long journey for tango excitement in Buenos Aires has the go ahead. Due to some personal scheduling conflicts we still have one room open for a couple or for sharing and space for 1 or 2 ladies to share a room with Charly. If you are interested please contact me immediately for the details. We need to have the deposits paid to the rental agency before we leave for Australia. We will announce the full group once the apartment is filled up. This is a great space, huge, 5 bedrooms and includes a ballroom. This will be a trip to remember!
