Newsletter # 112-4/5/11
Argentine Tango is an intriguing dance. The only cure for a bite from the Tango Bug is to dance Tango. The richness and beauty of the dance along with the many challenges that arise in the journey open up entire new paths in the lives of those who pursue tango. Besides the personal satisfaction and fulfillment experienced in the dance, there are the many social connections that are to be made. People from all over the world and from all walks of life come together in friendship and shared passion that eclipses whatever hardships might be going on in their lives or the world around them. We come together to support others in hardship...whether tango related or not, ie. the upcoming Japan Benefit on April 22, 2011.
We would be honoured to assist new people in being welcomed into this Tango world and we are honoured to be able to provide many tango opportunities to those already living the tango life.
"Tango can change your world! Our world hasn't changed because we teach tango, we teach tango because tango changed our world... ...body, mind and spirit!" Rusty and Jo

Amy Lincoln and Santiago Croce Weekend Workshop
April 29 - May 3, 2011
We were so pleased with the grace and energy of Amy Lincoln and Santiago Croce that we are bringing them back to Tucson. Amy and Santiago are a lovely young couple who recently won the 6th edition of the National TANGO SALON CHAMPIONSHIP of Zona Norte of BUENOS AIRES. They loved being a part of our festival and are very excited to be coming back. Jo took a private lesson with them during the festival and was very impressed and we received many excellent comments on their teaching.
The event will consist of 5 weekend classes plus a bonus Tuesday "put it all together" class followed by the practica where you can ask Amy and Santiago any follow-up questions you might have. There will be 3 milongas that weekend as well, so plenty of opportunity to dance, dance, dance. The workshop will be hosting the Outdoor Milonga at St. Phillipls Plaza on Friday evening. Tucson Tango Society will be holding their 5th Saturday of the month milonga and Jim Baker has arranged a milonga for Sunday evening at a brand new location. We have already heard from a number of Tango friends from out of town that they participating.
