We invite you to join us at our UPCOMING FREE PUBLIC EVENTS at Tucson Meet Yourself and Maynards the weekend of October 8-9. These events are free to the public and run approximately 1 hour each. The purpose of which is to expose Tango to the general public. We provide a brief history of tango, do a couple of demo's, introduce members of the Tango community who might be present, do a group dance to demonstrate what a milonga looks like, and then invite volunteers to come up and take part in a 15 minute intro lesson. Your presence at these events would be greatly appreciated and you will find them to be quite enjoyable. Please let me know if you can make one or more of the scheduled seminars. Don't forget, you also get to enjoy Tucson Meet Yourself while you are there.
As we will be in Australia for Christmas this year we will not be organizing a Holiday Milonga in Tucson. In lieu of this we are very excited to announce, in collaboration with Christine Conte, the Director of Tohono Chul Park, an Outdoor Milonga in the park on Friday November 26, 5:30-8:30pm. Come out and enjoy Holiday Nights at Tohono Chul Park and dance tango in a beautiful and serene environment. Park entrance fee is $7 members/$10 non-members. There is no additional fee for the milonga. All proceeds go to Tohono Chul Park.
We are busy working on the details for The Brigitta Winkler Tango Experiencein November. Brigitta will be offering 5 workshops over the weekend for Int/Adv levels, "The Woman's Voice" on Monday night (ladies night) and an Advanced Seminar on Tuesday night. The announcement with the full program and all the details should be going out by the end of the week.
In the meantime, registration is now open for our one day Int/Adv Bootcamp on Enganche-Barrida-Gancho. Prepare to be slightly challenged while sharpening up your technique and execution -not to mention your musicality!
We look forward to sharing all the fun and excitement with you. See you on the dance floor.
Love, light and gratitude,
Jo & Rusty

students' creativity and making tango fun and exciting at any level.
In the early 1980s, Brigitta discovered tango in Buenos Aires, studying with such legendary dancers as Virulazo, Juan Carlos Copes, Antonio Todaro, Pepito Avellaneda, Gustavo Naveira, and Eduardo Arquimbau. Her studio, Tanzart, has been a pillar of the tango community in Berlin, Germany since 1987. Most recently, Brigitta collaborated with four other women to create the internationally acclaimed dance company "Tango Mujer," weaving argentine tango together with contemporary dance and theatre for sold-out audiences in NYC and Berlin in 1998, and on tour in the US in 2000.
