This weekend we, and many other Tucson Tangueros and Tangueras, are off to the first Albuquerque Tango Festival! Just because we are out of town does not mean we have forgotten about those staying in town. The Thursday classes and the Friday Milonguita will still be happening - thanks to the generousity of these wonderful guest hosts...
GUEST INSTRUCTORS: Derrick Del Pilar and Maya Youngblood will be teaching our Thursday evening Beginning and Intermediate level classes. The Friday Milonguita will still be happening at the regular place and the regular time with Guest Host Jim Baker. Thank you Jim for offering to host and DJ. We hope you come out and join Jim in dancing this great dance to some great music! Check out the details on the WEBSITE

ARGENTINA JUNE 2011: A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that we are planning a trip to Buenos Aires next June. We received interest from many of you on joining us on this trip. In response, I have located a beautiful apartment in Buenos Aires that sleeps 10 (possibly a few more) and we can have it for the whole month. I currently have a few commitments, but still have plenty of space available. If you are interested please contact me as soon as possible for the details. You do not have to stay the entire month - we can arrange the rooms based on peoples travel plans. However, we need to know immediately as we will have to provide a non- refundable deposit to reserve the apartment.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend full of love and joy!
Love, light and gratitude,
Jo & Rusty

A Tango Experience with Brigitta Winkler
November 12-16, 2010
Brigitta is an incredibly gifted teacher of Argentine Tango. With a degree in Body-
Mind Centering and over twenty years of experience teaching and performing tango around the globe, she is one of the most inspiring and innovative artists in the tango
world today. In class, she has the knack of unlocking her students' creativity and making tango fun and exciting at any level.
In the early 1980s, Brigitta discovered tango in Buenos Aires, studying with such legendary dancers as Virulazo, Juan Carlos Copes, Antonio Todaro, Pepito Avellaneda, Gustavo Naveira, and Eduardo Arquimbau. Her studio, Tanzart, has been a pillar of the tango community in Berlin, Germany since 1987. Most recently, Brigitta collaborated with four other women to create the internationally acclaimed dance company "Tango Mujer," weaving argentine tango together with contemporary dance and theatre for sold-out audiences in NYC and Berlin in 1998, and on tour in the US in 2000.

Buenos Aires
June 2011
A group trip to Buenos Aires with Rusty and Jo. This will be a very informal trip with a lot of flexibility and freedom to chose. We will arrange the lodging and a few day tours/shows for those interested. Participants will mostly chose what to do with their time while there and which milongas, practicas and classes they would like to attend. Contact jo@tangojo.com for details!
